I still miss The Smiths

This is ‘I still miss the smiths’ and I completed it in the first weeks of the first lockdown in 2020 when music among other things was so very essential and special like never before to us all. The Smiths have always been my favourite band from this area and at that time gave me much needed happiness. This prompted me designing this piece based on the ‘meat is murder’ album with the famous image of the Vietnam veteran on the front with the album title on his helmet. He originally had ‘make war not love’ on the helmet (for all your fact fans!) but The Smiths changed it. So here I am, in a tribute to my favourite Manchester band, changing it to ‘I still miss the Smiths’ like many of us do!
